The Business Analyst role at Momentum Investments supports the Tax Department by analyzing and improving business processes, systems, and data related to tax and regulatory reporting. The position involves stakeholder engagement, data analysis, process optimization, solution design, and change management within a fast-paced, Agile environment. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience in financial services, and expertise in tax systems and business process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed tax-related business analysis through stakeholder engagement (workshops, interviews, research)
• Develop expert-level knowledge of tax systems, procedures, and product-specific tax implications
• Identify and escalate tax risks that may impact the business
• Document current tax-relevant procedures and systems
• Translate business requirements into detailed solution specifications, ensuring alignment with tax and business objectives
• Lead tax-related clean-up and remediation projects in collaboration with support teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in taxation, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in a Linked Investments or Financial Services environment
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Analysis and/or Process Improvement
• Proven experience working in Agile environments
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in high-volume, complex settings
• Experience with API development and implementation is highly advantageous
